Welcome to a little corner of the internet where books are taken seriously, but no one is expected to have it all figured out.
I’m Alyshia—a mental health counselor by trade, an eclectic hobbyist, and someone who reads with a cat (or three) on her lap at all times. This blog is my way of making sense of what stories do to us, and the collective mysterious sense of community when we share a TBR with another human.
Here, I reflect on the books I’m reading each week—no inherent star ratings, no “read or skip,” no affiliate links. Just my thoughts, feelings, and the occasional clinical side tangent when something in a story hits close to the bone. Some posts are cozy. Some are heavy. Some get weirdly philosophical. The lack of structural integrity is the meta-structure.
Think of this blog like I was in my reading nook with a “do not disturb unless you brought tea” sign. I’m here to talk about the parts of books that made me feel weird or warm or like I needed to stare at the wall for an hour. It’s not professional. It’s personal.
Thanks for reading. You’re welcome to disagree with me, recommend a title, or just lurk while curled up with your own stack of books and a pet nearby.
